- Unauthorized Xperiments
is a collection of tracks and vocals made by various beat makers and the emcee Chiba Chemist between the years of 2003-2009.
This project represents Chiba Chemist`s first official release on Musou Productions music label.
Unauthorized Xperiments is a mixtape that showcase`s the various styles of beats, lyrical content and delivery used by Chiba Chemist.
First and foremost credit needs to be given to the beat and track makers representing on this project.

Hardliner/KX produced: Black Magic, In the Park, Whiskey

I feel that the project name(Unauthorized Xperiments) is very fitting because all of
the tracks contained on the project were not professionally mastered therefore they are not properly polished for the refined music listener,
hence the label `Unauthorized`.
The tracks reperesent what mixtapes of the past used to be, raw, unrefined, experimental
with beats, sounds, samples as well as lyrical conception.
These are tracks taken from an archive
of work from over the past 7 years to give fans and listeners a sense of the developement of the`Psyche style` or `Psychological style`
that I`d like to introduce.
The psyche style is the meeting of thoughts, reality and fantasy fused with intricate wordplay.
At times nonsensical, at times concretely clear but usually surreal.
The name Chiba Chemist is a representation of diametrically opposed perspectives.
The motivation behind the music for me, is finding the place where these two perspectives meet,
the place where one crosses into the other
and both sides are momentarily fused into one thought of sound in motion.
Chiba represents one side of the opposition and Chemist is the other.
Chiba Chemist could be viewed as a person, destination or frame of mind.
Hence,
the name represents both balance and the struggle for balance-
Where at times one triumphs over the other and at times both live in harmony.
This psyche style is the premise behind me,
the artist/scientist, Chiba Chemist.
Welcome to volume 1 of Unauthorized Xperiments.
2009年末から東京を拠点に活動するラスベガス出身のChiba Chemist
来日当日にも関わらずsaiko Vol.5 に出演のMusouProductionのライブセットに飛び入り参加するバイタリティーの持ち主。
そんな彼が2003年から2009年までに多数のビートメイカーと競演、制作されたのがUnauthorized Xperiments Vol. 1です。
Chiba ChemistにとってMusouProductionから初となる今作はタイトルから連想できるように全てのトラックはマスター作業を施しておらず、必ずしも耳馴染みの良いものでないかもしれないが、実験的なビートやサウンド、リリックは7年間にわたって築いた彼の作品群から選び抜かれた興味深い内容となっています。
"The psyche style (psyhe=精神)”
思考、現実、想像…ときに抽象的で、ときに過剰なまでに現実的であったりするが、彼の表現は常に想像的である。
Chiba Chemistという名前は、完全に相反する２つのものの観点を表現しているといいます。
彼にとって音楽は、この２つの観点が出会う場所を発見する行為であり、それらが互いに交差したり溶け合いひとつの思考となる空間である。
相反するもの同士のバランス、衝突、融合…
"Psyche Style"とはChiba Chemistのアイデアであり彼独自のスタイルです。
